To be heard...

Counselling is a space for you to be heard, and to feel that you can talk about anything. It's confidential, it's unjudgmental and most importantly - it's about you.

What is counselling?

The clinical definition of counselling is 'Counselling is a talking therapy that involves a trained therapist listening to you and helping you find ways to deal with emotional issues'. I believe it is much more.

I believe counselling is what we make it together. It's designed to be space for us to talk about how you are feeling, what is going on for you and allow you space to process it in a safe environment. Counselling is about what you make it, you bring as much or as little as you want - it is your time.

Who's Jenny?

My name is Jenny, I'm a qualified integrative counsellor. Integrative meaning that I have trained in a variety of different therapeutic approaches. I live in Surrey, near Hampton Court. I am a huge fan of animals, geeky things (such as gaming - both electric and board) and enjoy live music.

I understand what it is like not only to be a counsellor, but to be a client as well. It can be a daunting experience sitting in front of what feels like a stranger and talking about what's on your mind. It is important you feel comfortable, and that your counsellor is a right fit for you.

I have worked in the charity sector for the last 10 years and have thoroughly found my passion in supporting people. I discovered at a young age that I am a deeply empathetic person, and that I enjoy being with people.

I enjoy supporting the community and during my spare time I provide support to my local scout unit, I have been an active member for many years now. I also volunteer with the Samaritans and supporting younger people via a mentor programme.

I have always been complimented for my ability to talk with people from all walks of life and decided that this is something I would want to share. So here I am, here to hear you.

What can I offer?

I currently offer; online, face to face counselling, and home visits for those with accessibility issues (please note there is additional cost for mileage/time for this). I use a secure video chat service, and have a therapeutic space set up in my home located in Molesey. I am happy to have a free initial consultation (usually about 10 minutes) to discuss your needs and to answer any questions you might have.

My areas of experience and specialities include (and are not limited to):
